Pangon Lake in Ladakh, India

I finally decided to maintain a photo blog too. I have so many pictures and I can use only so much on my main blog Travel Tales from India.

So folks, this beauty is Pangon lake in Ladakh, India.

Final Transit, thanks a lot. The place is so beautiful that one has to just take the camera and shoot pictures, and anyone will end up with a few stunning shots. That is how I got it, I know next to nothing about photography.

Can i ask when (Which season/month) this was taken in?
Also, as I am planning a trip myself, how accessible is this place?

Senthil, this was taken in June 2005. Pangong lake is accessible by hiring a Qualis or a Sumo from Leh and having proper permits to pass army check points (there are no buses to the lake, as far as I know). But tour operators do it for the tourists all the time. Last season the jeep cost was rupees 5000 per ride but we shared it with three other people. So cost per head was 1000. Hope this helps.
